The sample unit for USDC Inspection is the contents of one bag. For sampling purposes, a lot shall be defined as lobster tails produced during a single 8-hour production shift at one plant location from the same batch of raw material which is homogeneous with respect to catch and subsequent handling conditions.
The contractor shall obtain a USDC Certificate of Inspection Which state(s) the product meets all requirements of this CID.

1/ The finding of incorrect species shall be cause for rejection of the lot.
2/ The presence of foreign material (for example, glass, paint, metal, dirt, insect parts, hair, wood) foreign odor or flavor (for example, ammonial, putrid, spoiled) or foreign color (for example, opaque or gray) shall be cause for rejection of the lot.
