SAUSAGE, POULTRY, RAW OR PRECOOKED, FROZEN
The U.S. Depart of Agriculture has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers frozen, raw or precooked poultry (young chicken or young turkey) breakfast sausage, packed in commercially acceptable containers, suitable for use by the Federal Government.
Salient characteristics.
The product shall conform to each of the options in the following types and styles as specified in the solicitation, contract, or purchase order.
Types and styles.
Type I- 1 ounce (28.35 g) link
Type II- 2 ounce (56.7 g) patty
Style A- Raw
Style B- Precooked
Raw materials.
The ingredients used to prepare the poultry breakfast sausage shall be either young chicken or young turkey, salt, brown sugar, breakfast sausage spices and flavorings, and dextrose.
